Fixed Installation Testing or Electrical Installation Condition Report as it is often referred to, is a report on the condition of the electrical wiring of a property, outlining any electrical safety and compliance issues it may have.
What is fixed installation testing?
Owners of buildings have a duty of care to users and themselves to comply with Health and Safety guidelines and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. A neglect to your buildings wiring can result in fire or injury. At CK Electrical we will list any possible dangers and comprise a detailed report consisting of defects and possible future problems which may arise.
All electrical circuits in a building that are fixed, such as lighting, socket outlets, supplies to air conditioning and other fixed plant need to be tested. Guidance for this testing and inspection process is given within BS7671 (The IEE Wiring Regulations).
Due to the nature of this test there will be times when your electricity will need to be isolated in order to carry out certain tests. As a customer we are aware that this may not be possible during working hours therefore CK Electrical offer an out of hour’s service to minimize disruption.
